The Tour Hat.
Commissioned by Live Nation. A crystal-set black top hat for Stevie Nicks's tour.
Live Nation called with a brief — a hat that read as Stevie, not as costume. We landed on the top hat shape, a dense black crystal field, a white feather, and a dove in white crystal on the side. The dove is hers.
The piece is built on a felt body — wool felt, blocked, traditional. We laid the crystal in three densities to keep the hat readable under spot light: heaviest on the crown, mid-density on the band, lightest on the brim edge so it doesn't catch hard glare. The dove sits offset, applied to the side panel, traced over a sketch by Stevie's team before being set. Delivered for the tour stop at PeoplesBank Arena and signed off by her wardrobe. The piece travels with her now.
